Log Home Repair and Restoration Services is a Family Business founded by David Groves. David is a licensed Contractor in several states and is considered an expert in Log Home Construction, Maintenance and Repair. David has worked on log structures throughout the United States and traveled internationally in his field of expertise. He has frequently been called upon as an expert witness in court cases involving log home construction. He has also worked for the United States Government at Cherry Point, North Carolina and Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.
In 1999 David saw that there was a need for quality professionals in the maintenance and repair of log homes. Consequently he founded the company Log Home Repair and Restoration Services and was asked to film a five part series called How to Build a Log Cabin for DIY TV,
David’s wife Terri is also a licensed contractor in several states. Having spent many years in the marketing and sales of log homes, Terri strives to provide personalized customer service. Terri has been a certified log grader and has her certificate as a level one building inspector. She currently holds seminars and offers training to the log home industry. Together David and Terri founded Log and Timber Home Builders to offer quality constructed homes at an affordable price. They also founded The Log Home Pros that offers many services to the log home buyer and industry such as training and consulting.
Today they have been joined by daughter Ashley and son Billy who have grown up in the log home business. Billy has been on his dad’s crews working summers before he graduated high school. As the construction manager Billy supervises the crew and brings his construction experience into play,
Ashley has a business background having managed her own day care center and most recently served as a manager of a Food Lion Grocery store. She joined the family business in 2013 as the Office manager. She is currently furthering her education with a double major in business administration and accounting.
Both Billy and Ashley are striving to become licensed contractors in the future. Recently David and Terri’s grandsons Scott and Kaden have started working for the company. Let’s just say we like to start ‘em young!
